Brakes and electric actuators for medical and hospital equipment

With over 40 years' experience in spring-applied brakes (static and silent), toothed clutch and electric linear actuator, Warner Electric designs and adapts its products especially for manufacturers of power chairs, mammographs, X-ray machines, scanners, operating tables and patient hoists.

Certified to ISO 9001 (V2000), the company also manufactures rugged-duty actuators capable of lifting loads up to 1200 kg. These are especially suitable for lifting aids and beds in medical applications.

All solutions are maintenance free, rapidly installed and guarantee a low noise level, the firm adds. ‘Warner Electric supplies more than 500,000 brakes and 60,000 linear actuators, either standard or custom made, to the medical field each year.’

Founded in 1927, the company is a member of the Industrial Power Transmission Division of Altra Industrial Motion Group, based in Quincy, Mass., USA. Warner is also represented in Europe and Asia, with production sites on each continent. Products are designed and manufactured in the French plants, at Angers and Le Mans.
Warner Electric holds these certifications: ISO 9001 (V2000), CE 95/16, TÜV, ATEX and UL/CSA approval.
